Firestone Complete Auto Care

I visited this Firestone location yesterday, and I want to be fair—the staff was friendly, and the service I actually came in for was good. However, I was disappointed by the inspection recommendations I received afterward. Without asking me a single question about my truck’s maintenance history, I was sent a long list of recommended services that simply didn’t apply. For example, they recommended replacing my engine air filter and cabin air filter, even though both were replaced about 10,000 miles ago. They recommended a fuel filter replacement, even though I replace it myself every 10,000 miles—well before the manufacturer’s interval. They also recommended an oil change even though my oil is nowhere near due. On top of that, they recommended differential, transfer case, and transmission fluid services, even though I completed all of those at 90,000 miles. The most concerning recommendation was for spark plugs…my truck is a diesel and doesn’t even have spark plugs. I used to love coming here, but they changed managers a couple of years ago and it’s gone downhill. I tried it once before and was unimpressed… but I thought perhaps that was a one time event. My dad took his car in last week, per my recommendation. They fixed the issue he came in for, but they handed his car back and said “be careful driving the car, the brake is loose” I’m sorry, WHAT?!? The brake was not loose before he brought it in. They claimed the only way to fix it was to get another part fixed. He took it to Brakes plus in Rowlett and after their diagnostic test they confirmed that he didn’t need that part fixed. They also noticed one cap loose and another just sitting uncapped in the engine.

They are very professional and acknowledgable I am happy for taking care of me the only thing is since I'm a woman it's hard to know if they are honest with what I need done on my car since I'm a female . It was very expensive for Labor than parts .. I am truly Thankful just hope they didn't lie to me of what was needed on my car . Please don't take it as Negativity that's how I feel as a female trying to keep her car running and on a budget ...

Update: I have since had two cars worked on here and they are always amazing to work with. From the front end staff to the techs, all were great to work with. I always walk away happy to have chosen them for repair and upkeep of my vehicles. It's a plus that management cares for customers too. Definitely worth every penny not to mention you may save some coming here rather than going elsewhere. It's a definite on the reccomendation. The staff is terrific. Management is pleasant to work with. I can also tell his staff love working for him. Definitely will return..

UPDATE: Following my original 2 star review for a wheel alignment service, store manager contacted me to address the unsecured panel and subsequent damage. They have offered to perform the necessary repairs at no cost. I appreciate them taking accountability and their proactive communication to make it right.
